Long-Range Vision

Why another church? Aren’t there enough already? Maybe so, if you’re comfortable with church. However, we believe that God is calling us to reach thousands in this region with the gospel of Jesus Christ—those who have never set foot in a church before, who, just like us, desperately need the Living Water. We believe He is calling us to send people out of WellSpring to start new faith communities and to spread the word of God around the country and the world. New churches will reach new people in a way existing churches cannot.

In addition, we are coming to realize that there is definitely a niche in the Greater Montgomery area for an authentic, vibrant, truly INTERDENOMINATIONAL body of believers committed to welcoming the lost for the sake of Christ’s Kingdom. Although our theological “lens” mirrors the early fire of British reformer John Wesley, and our spirit is reflective of the early church described in Acts 2, we are supported entirely by the grace of God as He moves hearts to give and support this ministry. We are not a “new birth” (plant) of an existing denomination nor a franchise of any other existing body of faith. The term “community church” is exactly that: everyone is welcome. We’ve recognized and embraced the fact that God, not inspired by a specific, highly-rated church growth method or formula, is doing an entirely new thing among us…and it is beyond exciting to watch Him do it!

WellSpring is building a dynamic missionary force that seeks to welcome and disciple people in a vibrant and exciting environment of worship and praise. We’re seeing miracles of God’s grace every week! We’re continuing to build momentum from our September 2006 launch as we look toward “phase two” of a prayerful growth plan. We desire to be in ministry seven days a week as we open our doors to families seeking a safe, comfortable, faith-based childcare opportunity, as well as become an anchor for weekly ministries both at the church and in homes. We anticipate building our first phase of a facility after we outgrow our current building. We dream of moving into a state-of-the-art building that will become the headquarters for our community outreach and our gathering spot for empowering and guidance from the Holy Spirit.

We will look to Spirit-empowered prayer, vibrant worship, relational small groups, and children’s ministry as the cornerstone of our fellowship together. As we grow in Christ and serve Him, we trust that God will be glorified!

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he.   (Proverbs 29:18)
